THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OFFSIDES (W Kennedy) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) VENUS FLYTRAP (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Going into the first turn, GRACE LU (D Schwarz), which was encouraged forward, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of MUNABADHA (M Yeni), which rolled in marginally. b) At approximately the 900m, Jockey G Lerena (WAY TO DREAM) briefly adjusted his left side stirrup iron. c) DELIGHTFILLY (R Danielson) over raced in the early stages and compounded from the 400m. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that MANDHUKAI did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) WONDEROUS (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) MANDHUKAI was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claimed a 2,5kg allowance (declared 9 March 2021 at 09H47).
