THE STARTER REPORTED: a) INTIMIDATE (J Penny) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SHE'S A CRACKER (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) CURVATION (W Marwing) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey S Khumalo (OCEAN FOREST) accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m. b) At approximately the 500m, OCEAN FOREST (S Khumalo) was carried out by SHE'S A CRACKER (M Yeni), which shifted out away from the crop. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, SHE'S A CRACKER (M Yeni) was brushed in marginally by OCEAN FOREST (S Khumalo), which rolled in. A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into the above incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey M Yeni, rider of the second-placed horse, SHE'S A CRACKER, against the winner, OCEAN FOREST (S Khumalo), on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Board, after hearing evidence from all relevant parties, was of the opinion that the result had not been affected by this incident and therefore overruled the objection and allowed the judges result to stand. Jockey M Yeni's deposit was refunded. c) OCEAN FOREST (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee B Mngeni, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, advised (RS). d) SHE'S A CRACKER (M Yeni), placed second was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Jockey M Yeni advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FLYING FANTASY: Jockey M Mjoka weighed out at 53,8kg, 1,5kg over the carded weight. A therapeutic riser pad was included in Jockey M Mjoka's equipment for the race. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) INTIMIDATE raced with club colours (blue with a black cap) Stipes permission. THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. SCRATCHED: a) NABEELA stiff in front (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
