THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMPLIFY (+P Mongqawa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LUCY IN THE SKY (+P Mlangeni) raced wide around the turn and into the straight and thereafter shifted both ways away from the crop from the 200m b) SUDDEN BREAK (+T Baase) shifted out away from the crop at the 300m. Work Rider T Baase briefly dropped his left side rein at the 200m and thereafter, SUDDEN BREAK shifted out sharply away from the crop at the 150m. c) AMPLIFY (+P Mongqawa) raced green throughout. d) Work Rider S Mosia reported that SEA ISLAND changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LUCY IN THE SKY (+P Mlangeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
