THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARYAAM (L Hewitson) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey S Khumalo reported that PHOENIX (11,00 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that QUEEN BOMI did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Murray was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse KEEPINGTHEPEACE more than 12 times in the entire race. Jockey C Murray signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1,000-00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (14) and Jockey C Murray's record with regard to this Rule and Guideline. d) ARYAAM (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SIREN OF GREECE raced without blinkers (declared 13 March 2021 at 07H44). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) PHOENIX fatigued. b) ASTRAL PLANE puncture wound left upper lip. c) QUEEN BOMI examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
