THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SPYDAS CORNER (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages. b) Jockey A Marcus reported that SUNSET EYES (9.00 lengths) took an awkward stride at the 100m. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performances of SPYDAS CORNER (M Yeni) (4.70 lengths, 37/20 in the betting) and GENEROUS LADY (*G Pieterse) (13.70 lengths, 40/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) CHANTYMAN (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
