THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) FATEFUL MISTRESS (R Fourie) was fractious and difficult in the stalls. Removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was withdrawn. Trainer P Gadsby was advised to re-school this filly.
b) LOVE THE FLAG (C Habib) lost 1 length.
c) HATTA (S Moodley), DEAR JULIETTE (*T Gumede), MEGHAN (B Jacobson) and LIBERTY BELLE (A Mgudlwa) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) DEAR JULIETTE (*T Gumede) was squeezed out shortly after the start.
b) BIG HELLO'S (*K Strydom), DEAR JULIETTE (*T Gumede) and JUST THE WIND (M Yeni) over-raced in the early stages.
c) RUBY SKY (D Dillon) was hanging in over the final 300m.
d) Jockey W Kennedy reported that RUBY SKY (8.90 lengths) took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e) Jockey C Storey reported that MOVE ON (12.95 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f) In view of the performance of HATTA (S Moodley) (37.15 lengths, 17/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g) Trainer N I van Wyk signed an admission of guilt for the contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that he failed to ensure that the owner's colours were available for the horse WHISPERING HILL. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed.
h) ANOTHER LOVE (A Marcus), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer I Burger acting on behalf of Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (SC).

a) RUBY SKY was ridden by Jockey W Kennedy (12.03.21/08h40).
b) DEAR JULIETTE raced with a cornell collar and compression mask.
c) MEGHAN raced with ear muffs.
d) LIBERTY BELLE was ridden by Jockey A Mgudlwa.
e) SHAKEN NOT STIRRED was ridden by Apprentice G Pieterse (claiming4kg).
