THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) BROADWAY (S Moodley) lost 1 length.
b) STANLEY STREET (*T Gumede) lost 2 lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) NORTHERN TUNE (R Munger) and TILMEETH (L J Ferraris) over-raced in the early stages.
b) STANLEY STREET (*T Gumede) raced detached from the field throughout. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c) NORTHERN TUNE (R Munger) began to lose ground to the field on the latter part of the bend and thereafter was not persevered with in the final straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) Apprentice T Gumede the rider of STANLEY STREET appeared before the Board and was advised against the practice of hitting a horse when it's out of contention for a place.
e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning CATCH ME HOLLY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer T Rich acting for Trainer G I Rich was advised. (Suspension dates : 16.03.2021 - 14.05.202, bdi)
f) ASSURED (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Forbes advised (ML).
