THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TANGO TIME (C Habib) and FORT ROYAL (W Kennedy) were restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and re-loaded. b) TANGO TIME (C Habib) fly-jumped leaving the stalls. c) KILDONAN BAY (T Godden) and SPRING LIGHTNING (K Sakayi) were restless in the stalls. d) IRISH PEARL (*K Brewer) lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SPRING LIGHTNING (K Sakayi) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter was hanging in, in the straight. b) ENRAPTURE (*T Gumede) was baulked for a clear run between the 350m and 200m. c) Leaving the 100m, KILDONAN BAY (T Godden) was carried in slightly by FOXY LADY (J L Samuel) which was hanging in and shifted in from the 100m. d) Jockey M Yeni reported that COLOUR OF LIGHT (6.20 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Trainer M Prinsloo appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of FOXY LADY (J L Samuel), the winner, compared to this filly's previous performance on the 01.02.21. Mr Prinsloo explained that, in his opinion, the previous run was too close to the run prior to that which was on the 27.01.21, and this had accounted for the poor performance. The Board noted his explanation and the future performances of this filly will be monitored. f) FOXY LADY (J L Samuel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SPRING LIGHTNING raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 05.03.21/10h48). b) TANGO TIME was ridden by Jockey C Habib. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) COLOUR OF LIGHT : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) YOU DESERVE IT : Reserve runner. b) BRIGHT EYED GIRL : Reserve runner.
