THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, PRINCE EVLANOFF (S Khumalo) broke through the front gate. This gelding was restrained by Jockey Khumalo, returned to the start, checked by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. b) WAQAAS (AUS) (*C F Dicken) and SUPREME DANCE (P Strydom) were slow losing one length. c) STOP FOR NOTHING (R Munger) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MY KINGDOM (*J R Syster) had to steady to avoid the heels of STOP FOR NOTHING (R Munger) which jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PRINCE EVLANOFF, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 17 March 2021 to 23 March 2021. PRINCE EVLANOFF may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee B Mngeni advised (PHvdW). c) Jockey J Gates reported that GRADUATE did not stride out freely in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) SUITED CONNECTOR (C Zackey) hung out from the 200m. e) STOP FOR NOTHING (R Munger) hung out from the 150m. f) STARFLASH (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SUPA MUFTI was ridden by Apprentice N Klink (declared 15 March 2021 at 10H04) who weighed out at 52kg. b) MY KINGDOM was ridden by Apprentice J R Syster who claimed 1,5kg allowance. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) GOVERNORS GLORY Jockey R Simons weighed out at 55,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GRADUATE not striding out right hind and blowing post race. b) SUPA MUFTI not striding out right hind. c) MAGIC VISION moderate post race distress. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
