THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COLD BREEZE (G Lerena) was reluctant to load. b) ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls. c) VIVO PER LEI (M Winnaar) reacted and broke through the front gates when EASY LIVING (C Little) kicked the back gates. VIVO PER LEI (M Winnaar) was immediately restrained, returned behind the stalls, examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. d) ELECTROMAGNETISM (A Domeyer) jumped outwards. e) BECKY SHARP (S Veale), UNTIED WE STAND (J Solomons) and MUSIC OF THE NIGHT (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start EASY MONEY (*B Plaatjies) was bumped by COLD BREEZE (G Lerena), which had jumped outwards. Thereafter, COLD BREEZE (G Lerena) shifted in and made slight contact with ELECTROMAGNETISM (A Domeyer). b) UNITED WE STAND (J Solomons) was held up for a clear run between the 400m and the 200m. c) At the 250m HEAR MY VOICE (G van Niekerk) was directed inwards away from the heels of a tiring EASY LIVING (C Little). d) At the 200m ANGEL'S OASIS (L Mxothwa), which was hanging out, shifted out and had to be straightened. e) Jockey C Zackey reported that IM THE BUZZ took a number of awkward strides in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) In view of the performance of EASY LIVING (C Little), which raced prominently in the early stages and tired from the 300m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. g) Jockey R Fourie reported that MUSIC OF THE NIGHT choked up in running and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. h) In view of the report from the Starter regarding COLD BREEZE (G Lerena), Trainer AN Marcus will be advised to have this filly re-schooled prior to her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. i) Trainer JMT Stewart was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented GOLDEN IDEAL incorrectly equipped in the parade ring.
