THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VERINOVA (M Yeni) reared in the stalls. b) BAMBOLEO (*N Klink) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. c) SKY KINGDOM (D De Gouveia) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) ZULU WAR CRY (L Hewitson) and OLYMPIC SILK (C Habib) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) I DREAM OF GENIE (C Zackey) raced green. b) In view of the performance of SKY KINGDOM (D De Gouveia), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey C Habib reported that OLYMPIC SILK (10,00 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) ZODIAC PRINCESS (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Sham advised (GF). e) QUICK RUN (S Khumalo), which was a scratching, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S M Naidoo advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. SCRATCHED: a) QUICK RUN no suitable jockey available. En route to the start, Jockey S Khumalo felt something amiss with QUICK RUN and requested the Veterinary Surgeon to examine this filly. It was passed fit to race, however, Jockey S Khumalo was not comfortable to ride this filly. A replacement rider was sought, however, there was no Rider available and QUICK RUN was subsequently scratched (NHA / 13H39) (betting 50/1). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
