THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VINSON (S Randolph) was stubborn to load. b) NATIVE TONGUE (R Fourie) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) WILLIAMS LAND (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 1300m, WILLIAMS LAND (W Kennedy) was inconvenienced and KAYLA'S CHAMP (C Habib) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the inside of QUICK STAR (S Njokwe) which shifted in. Apprentice S Njokwe signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of QUICK STAR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to KAYLA'S CHAMP (C Habib) and WILLIAMS LAND (W Kennedy) at the 1300m. (Suspension Dates : 06.04.21 - 12.04.21, bdi) c) At the 150m, MR FITZ (L Hewitson) was carried out and SOCRATES (A Marcus) had to ease, when awkwardly placed on the outside of QUICK STAR (*S Njokwe) which shifted out from the 300m. Apprentice S Njokwe signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of QUICK STAR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to MR FITZ (L Hewitson) and SOCRATES (A Marcus) in the concluding stages. (Suspension Dates : 13.04.21 - 19.04.21, bdi) d) Trainer Gareth van Zyl (PATHS OF VICTORY) will be advised that his runner failed to adequately parade and should this gelding behave in a similar manner in future, it may be suspended. e) QUICK STAR (*S W Njokwe), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
