THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCK YOU (C Zackey) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PATON'S TEARS (G Lerena) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LITTLE RAIN (L J Ferraris) took an awkward stride at approximately the 1200m. Thereafter, Jockey L J Ferraris reported that he felt something amiss with LITTLE RAIN in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the performance of FLORENTINE (C Murray), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Jockey W Kennedy reported that he felt something amiss with ME TIME in running and did not persevere with his riding from 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) PATON'S TEARS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IMPRESSIVE DUCHESS was ridden by Jockey R Munger (declared 1 April 2021 at 09H11). b) DECADENT LADY: Jockey J Greyling weighed out at 54,2kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
