THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (C Habib) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised (GT).
b) UN DEUX TROIS (S Khumalo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c) HERTOG (B Nyawo) and TIKI TAKA (*X Jacobs) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Apprentice C F Dicken reported that he felt something amiss with TWICE THE SURGE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TWICE THE SURGE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer F P Habib was advised.
b) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with SOUL OF WIT in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GRAZINGINTHEGRASS, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion.
Suspension dates: 2 April 2021 to the 8th April 2021. GRAZINGINTHEGRASS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised.
d) EVENING RISE (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) BRAVO ONE was ridden by Jockey C Maujean (declared 29 March 2021 at 11H05).
b) EVENING RISE was ridden by Apprentice J R Syster who claimed a 1,5kg allowance (declared 1 April 2021 at 07H33).

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) TWICE THE SURGE bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60-day suspension. Trainer F P Habib was advised (TL).
b) SOUL OF WIT examined post race, nothing obvious detected.
