THE STARTER REPORTED A) DUCHESS OF BOURBON stood as the start was effected and lost 5 lengths. The starting stall certificate for this mare was withdrawn. B) CALANDRA and HAWTHORN were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) GREEN DRAGON (T Gould) was hanging in from the 400m. B) Jockey S Khathi signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horses DUCHESS OF BOURBON (Race 2) and ELEGANT GENERAL (Race 8). A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. C) In view of the Starter's report with regard to DUCHESS OF BOURBON (S Khathi), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 30 days and until such time as she proves tractable to jump on terms.
