THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Jockey T M Musekiwa briefly lost the footing to his right side stirrup iron when DANCESWITHWOLVES fly jumped leaving the stalls. As a consequence, DANCESWITHWOLVES failed to muster speed early and raced detached from the field throughout. B) Apprentice Y Ramzan reported that SUMMER MADNESS did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) Jockeys L Mxothwa (GOLDEN SPRING) and L Bester (MRS MAC) reported that they felt something amiss with their respective mounts in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SUMMER MADNESS (*Y Ramzan), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. In terms of Rule 49.7, a veterinary certificate for SUMMER MADNESS must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the National Horseracing Authority, before it can be entered for a race. SUMMER MADNESS must also gallop for the NHRA veterinary department after which, if found fit to race, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. Trainer J V A Strydom was advised. E) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning MRS MAC (L Bester), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
