THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ENCHANTED CREEK (G Behr) was restless in the stalls, threw its head down as the start was effected, jumped awkwardly losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) OUR WORLD (S Mbhele) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) OUR WORLD (S Mbhele) was hanging out in the latter stages. b) Jockey A Andrews, the rider of LA BANQUIERE, reported that he felt something amiss with this filly and did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) PRETTY BETTY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Mr R Barrett, acting on behalf of Trainer JMT Stewart, was advised.
