THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WINTER FLIGHT (G Cheyne) was stubborn loading, had to be hooded and was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WINTER FLIGHT (G Cheyne) cast his left front shoe on the way to the start, which was replaced by the course farrier, causing a delay. b) In view of the report from the starter regarding WINTER FLIGHT (G Cheyne), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 04/04/2021 to 10/04/2021 inclusive). WINTER FLIGHT may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) At the 150m FAVORITA (R Khathi) changed strides, shifted in and had to be straightened. Shortly thereafter WINTER FLIGHT (G Cheyne) rolled out slightly and brushed FAVORITA (R Khathi), resulting in both horses becoming momentarily unbalanced leaving the 100m. d) Jockey O Noach, the rider of ELUSIVE TRADER, reported that this gelding did not stride out freely in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. e) FAVORITA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
