THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TREADING WATER (L Ferraris) was stubborn to load. Trainer M Prinsloo will be advised to re-school this gelding. b) ROY'S MAGIC (AUS) (T Godden) was stubborn to load. c) GREAT GUY (B Jacobson) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, JUSTAGUYTHING (W Kennedy) and ALFONSA SPAGONI (K de Melo) came together and bumped when awkwardly placed on the inside of CHARLIE-FOX (*M Zuma) which rolled in. b) PACIFIC WINTER (J Samuel) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) Jockey L Ferraris reported that TREADING WATER (5.55 lengths) made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of MAJORCA PALACE (A Marcus) (16.20 lengths, 9/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer C Hewitson was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to the stables. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GREAT GUY (B Jacobson), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 05.04.21 to the 11.04.21. GREAT GUY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer G B Puller was advised. (SN) f) PRINCEKRESH (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Gareth van Zyl advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WINTER WAVES raced equipped with blinkers (advised 01.04.21/13h47). b) SUGAR AND SPICE raced with a cornell collar. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
