THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IDEAL TRIP (M Yeni) was slow into stride. b) FROSTED ICE (J Greyling) and SMELTING (G Lerena) jumped outwards and COUNTRY MILE (*X Jacobs) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) AUNTY LIZZY (R Munger) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 600m, COUNTRY MILE (*X Jacobs) which rolled inwards had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of TALLADEGA (L Hewitson) which rolled out. b) AUNTY LIZZY (R Munger) hung in from the 300m. c) QUICK RUN (*J R Syster) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) AUNTY LIZZY (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
