THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL WATCH (R Fourie) brushed the starting stall gate as the start was effected, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ROYAL WATCH (R Fourie) was hanging out on the bend. b) DESTIN (R Khathi) was hanging out in the straight. c) Jockey G Cheyne reported that NIGHT SONG, which was hanging out in the straight, did not stride out freely in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ROCKIN' RINGO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised.
