THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WHAT A SPLASH (S Moodley) was stubborn to load. b) DEAR JULIETTE lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Between the 300m and the 50m, HELLO TOMORROW (*J Jacobs) and SERENA SLAM (L Hewitson) were hanging in. Thereafter in the concluding stages, HELLO TOMORROW (*J Jacobs) and SERENA SLAM (L Hewitson) raced in close proximity when SERENA SLAM shifted out away from the crop. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Rider (L Hewitson) of the second placed horse (SERENA SLAM) against the winner (HELLO TOMORROW) on the grounds of interference and intimidation from the 300m. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board overruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board considered that, the movements of both horses between the 300m and 50m were independent and the reason for the horses racing in close proximity in the concluding stages was not as a result of HELLO TOMORROW's actions but rather due to SERENA SLAM shifting out. Consequently, the Board could not be satisfied that but for the above incident, SERENA SLAM would have finished ahead of HELLO TOMORROW, therefore it overruled the objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. Additionally, the Board was of the view that there was no reasonable prospect of the objection being upheld and therefore, Jockey L Hewitson's deposit was forfeited. b) HELLO TOMORROW (*J Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DEAR JULIETTE raced equipped with a cornell collar (advised 10.03.2021) and a compression mask (advised 11.04.2021/07h58).
