THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THEATRICAL MOMENT (S Moodley), MISSION BEACH (S Veale) and SACRED IBIS (L J Ferraris) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) An inquiry will be opened in order to establish why WINTERTIME (S Randolph) had to ease in the concluding stages. b) Jockey S Moodley reported that THEATRICAL MOMENT took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Trainer N Kotzen appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the improved performance of PINCH ME (M Yeni). In this regard, he could offer no suitable explanation save to state that, PINCH ME was having its third run after a layoff today and therefore, stripped a fitter horse and that, from a wide draw, this filly had appreciated being ridden with more restraint today in comparison to its last run where it raced wide in the early stages and raced forwardly placed. The Board noted the explanation of Trainer Kotzen who undertook to race this filly similarly in future. Additionally, Trainer Kotzen's attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running. d) PINCH ME (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) COZY DOT COM raced with alumites in front, unshod behind (advised 01.04.2021/08h13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
