THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JACK'S BIRD (*M H Zuma) lost 2 lengths. b) GLORY DAYS (S Moodley) lost 3 lengths. c) POINT OF SALE (L Hewitson) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A race review was called into the start of this race, in order to ascertain whether the hood on POINT OF SALE drawn in stall gate 9 was removed timeously. In this regard, it was established that, POINT OF SALE had jumped from the starting stalls as per its grading "jump out of hood", this filly had not been impeded by a handler or faulty starting stalls and after reviewing the start with Jockey Hewiston and the Starter, it could not be established that POINT OF SALE had not been afforded the opportunity of a fair start. Therefore, no further action was taken and POINT OF SALE was deemed to be a runner. b) Jockey K de Melo was unable to weigh out at the carded weight on ELECTRIC SURGE in this race and had to be replaced. Jockey K de Melo signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 55.4. A penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. c) PURPLE MOON'S UP (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) JACK'S BIRD raced equipped with blinkers (advised 11.04.2021/08h50). b) PRINCESS ANASTASIA raced equipped with cheek pieces (advised 09.04.2021/10.36). c) ELECTRIC SURGE was ridden by Jockey E Ngwane (advised 15h30) d) Apprentice J Jacobs was unable to claim his full allowance in this race and weighed out at 0.5Kg over the carded weight at 52.1Kg.
