THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) PUSH OFF (IRE) (*K Matsunyane) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn (GT).
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) INTO THE FUTURE (M Yeni) nudged the front gate as the start was effected. As a result, SPANISH BOY (R Simons) and INTO THE FUTURE (M Yeni) were steadied momentarily in anticipation of a false start being called.
b) Leaving the 200m, STORMY WINTER (* X Jacobs), which shifted both ways away from the crop from the 400m and had come to the end of its run, had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of AUGUST RAIN (S Khumalo) and NAMAQUALAND (R Danielson), which hung out from the 300m.
c) VALETORIO (L J Ferraris) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m to the 100m.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PUSH OFF (IRE), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion.
Suspension dates: 15 April 2021 to the 21 April 2021. PUSH OFF (IRE) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M F de Kock was advised.
e) VALETORIO (L J Ferraris), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, advised (RS).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) WAQAAS (AUS) was ridden by Apprentice C F Dicken who claimed a 1,5kg allowance (declared 11 April 2021 at 07H24).
