THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) BOARD MASTER (S Veale) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) At the 1400m, KOMODOSAN (*G Pieterse) took an awkward stride. Thereafter, KOMODOSAN (*G Pieterse) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. c) MONTANA SKY (L Ferraris) was hanging in from the 300m. d) PROTEA PRIDE (S Randolph) was hanging out in the concluding stages. e) In view of the performance of SILVER CELEBRITY (R Fourie) (9.75 lengths, 16/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) At the 200m, PURPLE DOMINANCE (*K Strydom) shifted out to continue its run. g) PURPLE DOMINANCE (*K Strydom) proved reluctant proceeding to the start and had to be led by a handler.
