THE STARTER REPORTED A) AGRADEMARMALADE, TWICE AS CORAGEOUS and POT SOX were stubborn loading. B) MASTER MATE was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 5 lengths. The starting stalls certificate for this colt is withdrawn. C) CASHING IN was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) After being slow away, MASTER MATE (*Y Ramzan) failed to muster speed and gave ground to the field throughout. B) Jockey M V'Rensburg reported that AGRADEMARMALADE changed stride continually in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MASTER MATE (*Y Ramzan), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 17 April 2021 to 23 April 2021 both days included. MASTER MATE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer D G Smith was advised on behalf of Trainer G D Smith. D) The winner POT SOX was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer D A McKenzie acting on behalf of Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM).
