THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) DONNY G (*J R Syster) hung in from the 200m. Apprentice J R Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride the horse DONNY G out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. Apprentice J R Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1,000-00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty the Board took into consideration various mitigating factors including the efforts of Apprentice J R Syster to keep his mount straight. b) Shortly before the finish line, KWITE A TRIP (L J Ferraris) had to steady when running into restricted galloping room, between GODSWOOD (C Zackey), which commenced to hang out, and ACE OF SPADES (*X Jacobs), which shifted in away from the crop. This precluded Jockey L J Ferraris from being able to fully assist KWITE A TRIP to the finish line. c) ACE OF SPADES (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) KWITE A TRIP: Jockey L J Ferraris weighed out at 54,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LORD GRANTHAM raced equipped with alumites (declared 13 April 2021 at 09H39). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) KWITE A TRIP abnormal respiratory noise. b) OUT OF THE RAINBOW coughing. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. Race 5 contd. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
