THE STARTER REPORTED
A) PLUVIOPHILE was stubborn loading and kicked the back gate in the stalls. Trainer G D Smith was advised to re-school this gelding prior to its next engagement.
B) SLOANE was unruly at the start.
C) WINGING IT and RED GOLD MOON were stubborn loading.
D) WICKED GRIN was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) TEOFILIA (G Cheyne) hung out from the 400m.
B) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with RED GOLD MOON in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 300M. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
C) Jockey K Minnie reported that he felt something amiss with CLOCK STOPPER in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) Jockey J Mphanya reported that SLOANE did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
E) Jockey J Gates reported that SPANISH FORT made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
F) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SLOANE (J Mphanya), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. In terms of Rule 49.7, a veterinary certificate for SLOANE must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the National Horseracing Authority, before it can be entered for a race. SLOANE must also gallop for the NHRA veterinary department after which, if found fit to race, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. Trainer G D Smith was advised.
G) The winner MOJITO MAGIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM).

E) PLUVIOPHILE abrasion left hind fetlock.
