THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EAGLETTE (+G Lahoud) and IDEAL TRIP (+E Viriera) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 150m, FROSTED ICE (+P Mlangeni) had to check and switch out to avoid running onto heels of IT'S RAINING MEN (+P Mongqawa), which hung in badly from the 300m. An Objection was lodged by a member of the Stipendiary Steward on behalf of the 5th placed horse, FROSTED ICE (+P Mlangeni), against the 3rd placed horse, IT'S RAINING MEN (+P Mongqawa), on the grounds of intimidation and interference at the 150m. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward, was of the opinion that the result had been affected by this incident and that FROSTED ICE would have finished ahead of IT'S RAINING MEN and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judges result to read: 1st 10 LOOKING HOT (+S Mosia) 2nd 3 SMELTING (+J Gwingwizha) 3rd 1 QUICK RUN (+G Dadamasi) 4th 2 FROSTED ICE (+P Mlangeni) 5th 9 IT'S RAINING MEN (+P Mongqawa) b) Work Rider P Mongqawa was charged with for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of IT'S RAINING MEN, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FROSTED ICE (+P Mlangeni) when he shifted in at approximately the 150m. Work Rider P Mongqawa signed an admission of guilt and was suspended from riding in one Work Rider's race. Date of suspension: 8th May 2021. Notwithstanding the fact that IT'S RAINING MEN (+P Mongqawa) hung in badly, the Board was mindful that Work Rider P Mongqawa did not take the necessary corrective measures sooner and in fact changed his crop to the left hand shortly before the interference took place. Accordingly, a suspension of one Workriders race was imposed. c) When taking into consideration IT'S RAINING MEN'S history with regards to hanging, this filly has been suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.5 and until she proves tractable galloping on a straight course with a companion on a raceday. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) IT'S RAINING MEN post race distress - mild. b) LOOKING HOT not striding out left fore. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
