THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MASTER BOULDER (J Penny) reared as the start was effected. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer F Bronkhorst advised (GT). b) MIDNIGHT GEM (C Zackey) was slow losing one length. c) FATHER TIME (*X Jacobs) jumped awkwardly losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) A race review was called into the start of this race with regard to MASTER BOULDER (J Penny) in stall gate 5. It was established that this gelding had reared shortly before the start was effected. The Handler allocated to this gelding may have been slightly late in releasing his hold, however the Board was of the opinion that this impediment and subsequent loss of distance was as a result of this gelding's own behaviour and therefore MASTER BOULDER was declared to be a runner. b) INTO THE FUTURE (S Khumalo) took an awkward stride at the 1000m. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MASTER BOULDER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 30th April 2021 to the 6th May 2021. MASTER BOULDER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer F Bronkhorst was advised. d) STOP FOR NOTHING (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Keswa, acting on behalf of Trainer S Moffatt, advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) FLOWER SEASON was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claimed a 2,5kg allowance (declared 23 April 2021 at 09H22). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MIDNIGHT GEM raced with a pressure halter (declared 23 April 2021 at 08H26). b) ENCORE raced with a tongue tie on and without blinkers (declared 29 April 2021 at 07H59). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) STOP FOR NOTHING scalped on the left hind heel. b) ROGER THE DODGER stirrup rub on the right side. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
