THE STARTER REPORTED
A) FLOWER SELLER was unruly at the start and jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
B) SOUND CHECK, JET BOMBER and TWICE TO HEAVEN were stubborn loading.
C) ALL THINGS NICE was nervous in the stalls, rushed the front gate and jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
D) CHOCOLATE RUFFLES was slow away and lost 1 length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) ALL THINGS NICE (L Hewitson) over-raced in the early stages.
B) FEARLESS LADY (G van Niekerk) was hanging in from the 400m and proved difficult to assist.
C) Jockey R Danielson reported that GRACE LIGHTNING weakened significantly from the 400m and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) FLOWER SELLER (*Y Ramzan) shifted out away from the crop and had to be straightened leaving the 150m.
E) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning VOLUPTUOUS MADAME (C Maujean), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer G Paddock was advised.
F) The winner SOUND CHECK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (RJvR).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES
A) FEARLESS LADY was ridden by G van Niekerk. Jockey L Mxothwa was unable to fulfil his engagement on FEARLESS LADY due to flight complications (08:42 - 30/04/2021).
B) GRACE LIGHTNING raced equipped with a compression mask (10:18 - 26/04/2021).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER
A) GRACE LIGHTNING Jockey R Danielson carried 0.5 Kg overweight, weighed out at 55.9 Kgs.
