THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) IMMEASURABLE (C Habib) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. b) UNCATCHABLE (W Kennedy) compounded from the 400m. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that NUSSPLY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with APOLLO ELEVEN in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. e) Jockey S Khumalo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking TWIN TURBO more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey S Khumalo signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R2500-00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (14), the distance and manner in which Jockey S Khumalo used his crop and the fact that he won the race. f) TWIN TURBO (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) APOLLO ELEVEN was ridden by Jockey R Munger (declared 7 May 2021 at 08H59). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BAROMETER raced with a compression mask (declared 4 May 2021 at 09H23).
