THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHERRY ROAD (*K Strydom) and MOOBHEERA (E Ngwane) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MOOBHEERA (E Ngwane) raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. b) CHANTY LANE (*J Jacobs) was baulked between the 400m and 200m. Thereafter, this filly was switched in to continue its run at the 150m and finished its race off strongly. c) Approaching the 200m, GLORY DAYS (S Moodley) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the outside of KAVIAN'S CARA (S Khumalo) which was carried out by ADMIRE ME (L Hewitson) which was hanging out from the 400m, proving difficult to assist. In assessing this incident, the Board was of the view that Jockey Hewitson had taken all reasonable measures to try and prevent the above incident. Therefore, no further action was taken against him. However, Trainer G Puller appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to take all reasonable measures in order to ensure that this filly's racing manners improve, failing which, it may be suspended. d) An Inquiry will be opened with regard to Jockey S Moodley's crop use on GLORY DAYS in this race. e) CONCHITA (G van Niekerk), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen advised (DA). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) KAVIAN'S CARA raced without blinkers (advised09.05.21/07h40). b) MOOBHEERA raced with a compression mask. c) CONCHITA Jockey G van Niekerk weighed out at 53.4kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. SCRATCHINGS : a) INTUITIVE : Lame right fore abscess (Trainer - 09.05.21/07h21). Rule 53.5 applies.
