THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VERINOVA (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. b) WICHITA (F Herholdt) was stubborn loading. Trainer S von Willingh Smit was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (GT). c) RAISING A STORM (D Schwarz) was stubborn loading and thereafter was restless in the stalls. d) SILVERY BLUE (C Habib) reared in the stalls. e) TALLADEGA (L Hewitson) and BON VIVANT (R Simons) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 350m, BON VIVANT (R Simons) had to steady momentarily off the heels of RAISING A STORM (D Schwarz), which rolled out marginally and was immediately straightened. b) VERINOVA (G Lerena) hung in from the 150m. c) TRIPLE GODESS (C Zackey) collapsed en route back to the unsaddling enclosure and was attended to by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. d) VERINOVA (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
