THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHUTZPAH (D De Gouveia) was slow losing two lengths. b) DANCE LESSON (S Brown) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 150m, LADY OF THE FLAME (S Khumalo) was carried out marginally by DREAM OF GENIE (C Zackey) which shifted out away from the crop and was straightened. b) Jockeys W Kennedy (EXPRESS BAYOU) and D De Gouveia (CHUTZPAH) reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses. c) DREAM OF GENIE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer D Dhlamini advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) CHUTZPAH raced with club colours (blue and black) Stewards permission. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) EXPRESS BAYOU examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) CHUTZPAH not striding out left front. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
