THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PARKTOWN (R Fourie) jumped awkwardly and was slow into stride. b) CONGO COMPAQ (R Munger) was slow into stride. c) SECOND REQUEST (*T Gumede) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PARKTOWN (R Fourie) over-raced in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, this gelding raced wide throughout and compounded in the straight. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) COUNT MARSH (G Lerena) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) CONGO COMPAQ (R Munger) raced wide into the first turn. d) HEY BILL (S Moodley) raced wide into the first turn and was hanging in, in the concluding stages. e) BLUE PLANET (L Ferraris) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. f) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with KING'S CRUSADE in the running.
