THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DIAMONDSANDPEARLS (D Dillon) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GAYLEACTIC STAR (*K Strydom) raced wide in the early and middle stages. b) FLASHY KAITRINA (L Hewitson) was baulked for a clear run between the 400 and 250m. c) In the concluding stages, MEET AT THE GEORGE (K de Melo) was brushed out by LADY LEGEND (L Ferraris) which was carried out by CALULO (*M Zuma) which shifted out away from the crop marginally. Apprentice M Zuma appeared before the Board with regard to this incident and was advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. d) Jockey W Kennedy reported that WINE TASTING took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer P Peter will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables. e) Jockey R Munger reported that WINDOW TO AFRICA did not stride out freely in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) FLASHY KAITRINA (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Naidoo advised (SC).
