THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FIGHT SONG (*M Zuma) lost 1 length. b) TRULY WICKED (W Kennedy) and IBUTHO (S Moodley) came together and bumped at the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FIGHT SONG (*M Zuma) was difficult to settle in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, this gelding raced awkwardly throughout. b) At the 900m, Jockey C Zackey (HOLY WARRIOR) elected to race around the field and to the lead at the 700m. c) LION'S HEAD (K de Melo) was baulked for a clear run between the 400m and 300m. Thereafter, this gelding was switched in to continue its run and finished its race off strongly. d) LION'S HEAD (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
