THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IVALO'S PRINCE (R Simons) and MIRREN (W Kennedy) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DR): a) At approximately the 200m, SOUTHERN SONG (L J Ferraris) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between LADY CALAVERA (*J R Syster) and REUNION (G Lerena), which hung in from the 300m. b) In the concluding stages, TREND MASTER (C Maujean), which hung out, and REUNION (G Lerena), which hung in from the 300m, came together and bumped. An Objection was lodged by Assistant Trainer A Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer P A Peter, on behalf of the 2nd placed horse, REUNION (G Lerena), against the 1st placed horse, TREND MASTER (C Maujean), on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward, was of the opinion that the result had not been affected by this incident, therefore it overruled the objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. The Board deemed this objection to be unwarranted and therefore declared Assistant Trainer A Peter's deposit forfeited. c) TREND MASTER (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) SOUTHERN SONG: Jockey L J Ferraris weighed out at 54,3kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LADY CALAVERA raced with a pressure halter (declared 14 May 2021 at 09H14). b) BEFORE NOON raced equipped with ear muffs (declared 20 May 2021 at 08H28). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
