THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KATHERINE THE WOW (D Bogaleboile) was stubborn loading. b) GOLD ALLEY (T Gould) was stubborn loading and thereafter was bumped at the start. c) SHEEBA DARLING (*Y Ramzan) was bumped at the start. d) KISSMEATTHEGATE (J Mphanya) was nervous in the stalls and jumped outwards leaving the stalls. e) BIG HELLO'S (S Naidoo) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GOLD ALLEY (T Gould) and SHEEBA DARLING (Y Ramzan) were bumped out by KISSMEATTHEGATE (J Mphanya), which jumped sharply outwards. b) At approximately the 300m, JUNGLE PROMISE (L Hewitson) was carried in by ROOIBOS (R Fourie), which hung in. c) BIG HELLO'S (S Naidoo) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey L Hewitson reported that JUNGLE PROMISE (4,25 lengths) choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ROOIBOS (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
