THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JANICE'S SECRET (AUS) (J Mphanya) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. Trainer J V Rugg was advised. b) CALANDRA (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) A false start was called by the starter due to the stall gates numbers 2 to 10 having a delayed response once the gates were released by the starter. The runners were restrained by their riders, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JANICE'S SECRET (AUS), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 14 days and until such time as she proves tractable jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 22 May 2021 to the 4th June 2021. JANICE'S SECRET (AUS) may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J V Rugg was advised. c) FIRST STREET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S B Kotzen advised. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) JANICE'S SECRET (AUS): Jockey J Mphanya weighed out at 53,8kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
