THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) BARD OF AVON (M Yeni) proved difficult to load. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn Trainer A B Fortune advised (GT).
b) JIVKO DRAGANOV (*X Jacobs) and REBELS GATE (S Brown) were slow losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) JIVKO DRAGANOV (*X Jacobs) raced green.
b) BARD OF AVON hung in from the 600m to 200m. Thereafter, this gelding shifted out marginally away from the crop in the concluding stages.
c) REBELS GATE (S Brown) hung in from the 400m.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to BARD OF AVON, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion.
Suspension dates: 23rd May 2021 to the 29th May 2021. BARD OF AVON may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A B Fortune was advised.
e) BARD OF AVON (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
