THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) WAYA YIRE (C Habib) was restless in the stalls.
b) THERE SHE GOES (M van Rensburg) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c) CAP ESTEL (S Khumalo), FIRST ENCOUNTER (S Brown), JANE WILSON (*N Klink) and SHE'S WINNING (F Herholdt) were slow losing one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) SHE'S WINNING (F Herholdt) hung in throughout. Thereafter, at approximately the 400m, Jockey F Herholdt accidentally dropped his crop.
b) Approaching the 300m, CAP ESTEL (S Khumalo) and THREE HILLS (D De Gouveia) came together and brushed.
c) BIG EYED GIRL (G Lerena) hung in from the 200m.
d) THERE SHE GOES (M van Rensburg), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee W Marwing, acting on behalf of Trainer W H Marwing, advised (GF).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) THREE HILLS was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 22 May 2021 at 12H38) Stipes permission
(Jockey D De Gouveia experienced transport complications).
RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) HINDI PRINCESS raced with a compression mask (declared 18 May 2021 at 10H37).
b) SHE'S WINNING raced equipped with alumites (declared 20 May 2021 at 09H47).
c) SNAKEBITE TEQUILA raced in club colours (blue with a black cap). Trainer P F Matchett was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse SNAKEBITE TEQUILA. P F Matchett signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 250-00 was imposed.
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) BIG EYED GIRL mild post race distress; abnormal respiratory noise.
b) FIRST ENCOUNTER mild post race distress.
