THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ALSFLAMINGBEAUTY (*G Pieterse) kicked in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Trainer D Howells appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding the poor performance of IRISH BELLE on 05.04.21. Trainer D Howells was unable to provide any suitable explanation other than to state that at this stage of its career, this filly may not have enjoyed the rain affected going which was the case to some extent in its last run. Additionally, he was further of the view that the drop in class, today's fast conditions on the polytrack and that this filly is a young horse which is improving, all contributed for today's return to its previous continuous form. The Board noted the explanation from Trainer D Howells and will monitor the performances of IRISH BELLE moving forward. b) IRISH BELLE (*T Gumede), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D C Howells advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ROYAL VIEW was ridden by Jockey S Randolph (advised 24.05.21/08h14). b) AALSMEER raced equipped with blinkers and without cheek pieces (advised 23.05.21/07h39). c) MOOBHEERA was ridden by Jockey T Godden and this filly raced with a compression mask. Reserve runner (advised 24.05.21/07h52). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) ROYAL VIEW : Cut into left hind. b) FORGETFUL GIRL : Mouth injury.
