THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRINCESS THIANA (W Kennedy) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PRINCESS THIANA (W Kennedy) hung out from the 400m. b) JUST MAGIC (S Khumalo) took an awkward stride at approximately the 200m. c) Leaving the 100m, LYDIA'S PROSPER (C Maujean) was carried in by FORT SNOW (M Yeni), which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with REFLECTING in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LAST SONG (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (AH).
