THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL TIGER (D De Gouveia) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn Trainer E Verdonese was advised (PHvdW). b) INTERCITY (*P Mxoli) was slow losing one length and thereafter slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 200m, both WALTZING AL (R Danielson) and ARIZONA LADY (G Lerena), which were racing next to each other, commenced to hang out. As a consequence of this, UNDERSTATED (L Hewitson), which was racing behind these two horses, had to switch in to continue its run. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ROYAL TIGER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion on a raceday. Suspension dates: 2 June 2021 to 8 June 2021. ROYAL TIGER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer E Verdonese was advised. c) WALTZING AL (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer E Verdonese advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) WALTZING AL raced with a compression mask (declared 26 May 2021 at 12H35). b) ON THE WARPATH raced equipped with alumites in front, unshod behind (declared 26 May 2021 at 14H08) and without blinkers (declared 1 June 2021 at 06H36).
