THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ENJOY THE VIEW (G Lerena) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 200m, CAPTAIN HINDSIGHT (C Habib) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed between SINGFONICO (J Greyling) and CHIEF OF STATE (*P Mxoli), which shifted out away from the crop. Apprentice P Mxoli appeared before the Board, was shown patrol film of the incident and was advised to take the necessary corrective measures sooner, in order to keep his mounts straight in races. b) Jockey R Simons reported that he felt something amiss with BATTLEOFTRAFALGAR in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that he felt something amiss with CHIEF OF STATE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey G Lerena reported ENJOY THE VIEW returned with blood in the mouth. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning CALVARY, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer C Binda was advised. f) AL SAKEET (L J Ferraris), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (DR). g) SINGFONICO (J Greyling), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
