TRIPPLE EXPLOSION and RUMBLEINTHEJUNGLE lost one length. GENTLEMAN'S WAY was restless in the stalls, losing one length. Trainer Bosch advised to re-school this gelding. MOKOKO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. BEDAZZLED JOKER was hanging in over the final 300m. GENTLEMAN'S WAY raced wide on the bend and into the straight. Apprentice Sakayi reported SAUVAGE was not striding out freely in running. TRIPPLE EXPLOSION was hanging in, in the straight. In view of the performance of LOTSA SILVER the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Apprentice Gates reported WAR-KING was changing legs in running. Apprentice Jockey Klink signed an admission of guilt for a contravention, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that whilst riding GENTLEMAN'S WAY he used his crop more than 12 times in this race. The Board in determining the penalty considered the manner in which the crop was used. He was fined. Apprentice Pieterse, the rider of BEDAZZLED JOKER, had a satisfactory qualifying ride. Vet: SAUVAGE and WAR-KING - coughing. Scratched: CAPTAIN COBALT - not eating up.
