THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CASA INVERNO (G van Niekerk) jumped awkwardly and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) OPENING SHOWER (D Dillon) was hanging out from the 400m. Thereafter, Jockey D Dillon reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) AISLING (L Ferraris) was hanging out in the concluding stages. c) Jockey C Habib signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.10, in that he made a celebratory gesture shortly before the finish line whilst riding UNDER YOUR SPELL. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) UNDER YOUR SPELL (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (ML).
